Improve the Length of a Clean Run

Record the longest sequence you can repeat without guessing, then aim for one additional note. If mistakes occur at the beginning of longer chains, rehearse the first group before entering the later steps. Simon rewards patient recall rather than fast random taps.

When a sequence contains the same color twice, mark its positions with rhythm: early-red and late-red, for example. This prevents repeated tones from collapsing into one memory. You can also point at each location during the demonstration without clicking, turning the pattern into a physical route.

After a mistake, replay the remembered chain mentally before restarting. Identifying the exact missing note builds recall more effectively than immediately beginning another random attempt.
