Build a three-part core and identify each role. Keep that core active while auditioning alternatives in the remaining position.

Change One Module at a Time

Assemble Sections That Still Belong Together

Create an opening module with rhythm and melody, a middle module centered on voice, and a closing module that removes the busiest effect. Keep one performer active across all three so the track retains continuity. Then rebuild the sequence around a different shared character. Phase 23 becomes a practical arrangement exercise: design components, test how they connect, and keep only the changes that give the music a clearer shape. You can save a successful module in memory by naming its function, such as opening groove or vocal bridge. Functional labels make it easier to reuse the idea with different characters later. Test the saved module at the beginning and end to learn whether its function changes with placement.
